Creating New Business Cards

Creating a new business card in See, Scan, Go! will allow you to easily provide all the key things people need to know to connect to you or whomever you are creating a card for. This flexibility is great as there are so many ways to take advantage of these cards.

Create a card for yourself, or create a card for a team or organization you are working with, making it easy for customers or members to get in touch. At a work site, make a contact card for the site contact, safety coordinator, or security office. There are dozens of ways that quick scannable contacts can keep people safe and informed!

it's easy to create your new card, and just start by clicking the CREATE ITEM in the page navigation at the top of the screen.

The navigation is a drop down, showing you the item options for creation. The first item in the navigation is "Create a Business Card", which will take you right to the create page to get started.

See, Scan, Go! will take you through a four step process, making it easy to enter your information and check it out before you finish.

Getting Started

The first step of the create process is simply an introduction, and a quick button to take you to the help page for more information. You can see an example of this first page below.

The help button on the page will take you right here, so you can get back at any time!

In our card example above, we are creating a card for a site safety contact rather than just a single direct individual. This demonstrates the flexibility of the system, however as noted, cards may be created for individuals, teams, or anything else.

To start entering some information, click the CONTINUE button.

Contact Card Details

After clicking continue you can see some essential items to enter, with the required fields indicated with an orange check mark. As you enter the information on this page, the orange marks will turn green, letting you know it's good to go!

For this page, you must enter a title, first name, and last name at a minimum, and optionally put in a longer description as well. This is just to help you organize your information, and isn't required.

For the rest of the card information, all of the fields are optional, but providing a title, organization may help the user better understand the contact, while email, phone number, or address help to get people connected.

Placing a Smart QR code with contact information in a central area is a great way to make sure everybody has the current contact details at all times. If the contact changes, such as a different phone number or a different individual, you can edit this card without needing to change any links or Smart QR codes!

The contact card details page is shown below.

In this card, the title and first name have been entered, causing the orange check marks to go green, while the last name is still to be entered. Other fields are optional, but still recommended.

Continuing the site safety example, we have provided the name of the safety person and identified their contact information and other details.

When the initial details for the card have been entered, simply click to continue.

Pictures

When you add a contact card can customize the look of the card displayed to visitors. SSG lets you customize the top picture background or small highlight picture shown in a circle. This is useful for branding, personalization, or just having fun.

The drop down menus will show you any pictures available in your library, or you can drag and drop an image in to add new pictures on the fly.

Review and Create

Finally, a quick review of your information, and you can get going! The review page is just a quick summary of what will be created, and you can just click to finish. The wizard lets you click back and adjust anything needed at any time, so you can be sure you have exactly the record you need.

Everything is editable after you have created it, which is very powerful for you. If contact information changes, simply edit the item and adjust any part of the contact card, and keep users pointed to the right spot. Being able to adjust information at any time, without changing your Smart QR codes and Quick links is incredibly powerful, and incredibly easy for you!

An example of the review screen is shown below.

As you can see this is a simple review of the information, and you can just click the create button to create the new item.
